RIP Peter, thanks for the memory of passing Denny Hulme's Mclaren in the F5000 Chevron - the last time I went motor racing with my Dad. You can discuss matters of the turf with him now, he was always a big fan of you and your father's career.

One of the drivers who my parents used to watch when they made regular trips up to Mallory Park in the 1970s - it's not that big a leap to suggest that, but for him, I might not have become a fan of the sport. Statistically the least successful Grand Prix winner (his next best finishes were a pair of sixths) but somehow you sense that suited this down-to-earth racer.
Anyone remember when these signatures used to be funny?

Can the moderators not alter the thread title to spell the name of its subject correctly?
