Go Dani!!!! Note in the press release they call the car an SPC not a S1.6T.

In press release they can call it as they want. But officially it is S2000 with 1,6T engine.

Mini S2000 has cca 260 Hp. Fabia and Peugeot S2000 have something like 290-300 Hp. Better torque chart is not enough here especially on asphalt (on gravel it can benefit from better traction due to the engine characteristics). The car is simply underpowered although definitely equipped with great asphalt suspension. I believe Dani can win anyway but because of his skills.

SPC or RRC are just marketing names.

Last homologation (few weeks ago) of Mini already added 30 Hp. Does it mean it had 230 Hp at the end of 2011 season and now it has got 260 Hp?

Corsica is very twisty so I think the car will easily do well there, perhaps better than the S2000's.
If the RRC's should have the upper hand in a rally it should be a twisty route, with a lot of stop and start !

Basso with a lot of S2000 experience, and his choice will bring a good direction on what cartype is the quickest one.

I´ve heard it somewhere, but OK, it seems to be really a way too much. Official sources says only 3% more power which means 7-8 Hp ... so you are right. It is cca 260 Hp for newest version.

No, I didn't say that. Current version of Mini S2000 1.6T has some 255-260 Hp depending on mapping. I don't know how much the 01B have but I doubt it can be any big difference. Big steps are not possible unless what You start with is a crap. Anyway if I'm not mistaken there is no 01B S2000 so far to compare. New homologation is still not available for clients.

Delecour in a Megane will be interessting. A real top driver I guess will give Renault Sport good feed back on where strengths and weaknesses on the Megane are.
