Official NHL/hockey thread
Since we have so many good goalies in NHL at the moment, I think I'm entitled to start this new thread

Norrena was amazing. Second shutout in a row with 42 saves against Colorado. Nice

Toskala of the Sharks is playing well. And Kiprusoff recorded his 4th shutout of the year with a 3-0 win against the 'Canes yesterday.
The NHL could use a few more of those Finnish net-minders

Leafs lose 5-2 against Atlanta
. They blew a 2-0 lead in the thrid
BTW, where's raikk... I wanna see his new sig

Well, Aebischer isn't exactly playing well either
. Huet is far more impressive for the Habs IMO.

I'm a big fan of ice hockey, unfortunately it hasn't got the reputation it deserves in England. I'm a season ticket holder for Newcastle Vipers who are currently 10th in the Elite League. We have a big game coming up against Hull Stingrays on Sunday which is an important game to win if we are to move away from the bottom of the league. I'm pretty confident after a good display in the 5-3 win over Cardiff Devils, that we will win.
Always wanted to know, how is the British leauge thought of in USA, have you even herd of it???

What about Holmqvist, he is doing pretty okay this season. Lundqvist will shine again, don't you think?
BTCC2: I'm not from USA, but I haven't heard of your league though I knew you had one. There was an English guy playing in our league a few years ago... around 2001-2002 I think. Can't remember his name, think it was David something, but he was playing for Djurgården if that rings any bells for you.
BTW, I guess your signature is supposed to be Swedish, but it doesn't make much sense! Haha!

And yes, before someone asks: I realize my name looks much longer here than it did when I made it. I'm going to ask someone to change it.

There is Johan Molin who is from Sweden
but there are loads of players from Ukraine and Slovakia. USA and Canada are also very heavily represented, infact there is very few British players.

Defend mediocrity... because excelence is just too hard to achieve.

Say it ain't so Joe!
Nieuwendyk hangs 'em up after 20 years. He was one of the best centremen around and a highly respected player

Goalies...
I'm looking forward to the days when Martin Brodeur of the New Jersey Devils breaks both Patrick Roy's wins record and Terry Sawchuk's shutout record.
He has been an amazing goalie and has shown unwavering loyalty to a team that was once dubbed NHL's "Mickey Mouse" franchise.

this is what I don't get about Colorado, they get shut out to Columbus, then they beat San Jose 5-2. WTF can you guys not play one-offs and just play hard every game
