Was he? Didn't they trade him....no, he signed in MTL, didn't he?
They could have tried to persuade him. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't.
What I do know was that he was a good fit for the team.
WHY in the hell Sutter resigned Tanguay & Jokinen I'll never know...FGP for 2013 has begun. Stop by and check it out at http://sites.google.com/site/2009fgp/. It is a great place to laugh and unwind from defending your favorite drivers and/or teams. I hope we see you in FGP!

Calgary is in such a world of hurt. Kipper is a good goalie but that team is terrible.

It's frustrating to see the Flames completely mis-managed by the Sutters. For the team to have any hope, the two of them have to go!

Schmenke, the sad part is they were in the finals not that long ago, and I can tell you that that team always seems to have more than what it uses. It is truly the Leaf's all over again....lol..

Yet again I don't know what's wrong with OJ?? The interview I read about him gave me an impression he way more humble than he used to be. So, the fact he is not a teamplayer shouldn't be a problem. Also, he should be very fit novadays, he doesn't drink any alcohol, eat healthy etc....
Is it that he is totally lost in Flames?? He doesn't have a suitable role in which he can deliver? Is it that the pressure on him is just too much??
The fact is he is a talented hockeyplayer, he is strong and he could be a leader. Maybe he should be a leader?? In a some other team like he was in Panthers... although he wasn't liked by the other players
Long story short, he should do much better than he is now!Another Flying Finn

I agree. Too much pressure to Kipper who hasn't been at his best

Maybe Kipper should take few sessions with Pasi Nurminen to get his game back on track ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RETdfW7eu0I

Heheheheh, World Juniors In Buffalo....the more things change, the more they remain the same. Canada Defeats the tough Americans in one semi final with a fine display of defensive toughness and good goaltending, and the Russians beat the unusually cocky Swedes (their coach had the gall to say Canada wasn't that tough..and yet he needed a fluke goal to tie a game with them...go figure) in a shoot out.
so...Canada vs Russia for the gold Wednesday..and I hope the Americans rip the heart out of the cocky Swedes. Normally I don't dislike them, but their coach was a real doofus...that said, they are fast...never seen a faster Junior team..."Water for my horses, beer for my men and mud for my turtle".

The Russians taught us that...the old Red Army teams never used to quit easy....
It is funny, International hockey taught Canadians not to take the sport for granted..and our hockey culture adopted a lot of new ideas from Russia, Finland Sweden and the like.....
It isn't as international a game as soccer, more in line with maybe Rugby....but the highest level, it is marvelously entertaining..."Water for my horses, beer for my men and mud for my turtle".

Well the Russians must have something in their bag of tricks, because they pulled the same stunt on the Finns and Swedes. Coming from behind. They got that idea in their head they were never out of a game, and the Canadians obliged by playing not to lose in the third. They stopped skating, stopped working, stopped hitting and got rattled by the 2 quick goals the Russians got.
All power to em, but after hearing how their delay out of Buffalo was delayed because they were all disorderly and rowdy leaving on a Delta Flight (the pilot tossed them off); I gain some satisfaction knowing Team Canada would never allow our guys to go anywhere acting a) like that and b) would sanction and punish anyone who did embarass the country.
The Russians won, all power to em, but they sure don't seem to have a lot of class..."Water for my horses, beer for my men and mud for my turtle".
