I've received a piece of spam via PM from someone who hasn't posted at all on this forum.

Just wondering whether we can have the rule back that stops people sending PMs until they have posted 5 times.

:)

I also received what I believe is a spam requesting that I go to a link to supposedly read part of a book written by a forum member.

Sounds like a come-on that could lead to nothing good.

I see I'm not alone!

I thought PM usage could be restricted for new users on this type of forum... ?

the link is a genuine link to a e-book, however there is a story behind this, the author of the e-book is not the spammer. They have posted an explanation.

Hope nobody followed that link. There is usually something nasty waiting for them.

It's actually a genuine book. I even have it on my computer, straight from the source. :p Haven't read it, though. Maybe I should, any reviews? :)

Where can I read this story?

Says her husband spends loads of time on this forum, why couldn't HE PM then? I know, because she's a spamming cow

Where can I read this story?

Follow the link and then on the first page on the middle of the screen there should be a link. You should read it Erki, your best friend Steve Pavlina is mentioned and it's not nice :p :

That spam PM, do we just delete it? I did not read it at all, b/c I did not know what to do with it.

Just delete it, it's not like you're required to respond to it. :)
