Hi,

This month already two rallies of the norwegian rallies championship will run !!! :p :

The Sigdals and the Mountain rallies !! :D

This week-end(6 february) is Sigdals Rally

Because of bad winterconditions Sigdals Rally was canselled. Instead they will try to arrange it 3.february.

Mountain Rally which is the first rally in the norwegian championship will go as planned next weekend(13.jan)

What happened to Anders Kjaer ??? :(

He was doing great time in 2WD class until SS5 but retired before SS6(mechanical problem apparently) ;(

Anders broke his rear-right suspension already at the first stage. Later in the rally he got some problem with the fuel-pump and he had to retire.

I saw him at ss2 and even though he had problems it was clear that he needs some more rallies before he finds the right speed.

After two stages, including the longest one(SS2 20km) Mads Ostberg is leading for 8s in front of Thomas Shie, 10s ahead of Anders Grondal, 39s ahead of Tord Linnerud and 42s ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen... ;)

Anders Kjaer and his 206 S1600 is leading the Fiestas in the 2WD class(and is 16th overall) :bounce:

Christian Andresen is leading the 206 Supercup...

Soon SS3, 4 and 5, short stages, will start :)

Ostberg seems like a really decent driver. Anyone know if Mikkelsen was in the 02 car for this event? His website news was pretty unclear. When is the Sigdalsrally taking place because I dont see how he can run it now?

Mikkelsen drove his 05 Focus in Rally Hadeland. Sigdalsrally is next saturday(3.feb) an there he will drive his 02 Focus.

It is norwegian rally-numberplates on the cars so I am not sure which of the cars he drove.

I think the car Bentzen drove was an ex-Morten Østberg Impreza

I read today that the Norwegian post brings out 3 stamps with rally cars on it.(Solberg P. & H. & Thomas Schie) Normally they should be available by today, 6 february?
I there any possibility that I can get them? Maybe someone could send me some? (Belgium)

Mads Østberg( Subaru Impreza WRC) leads after ss2 in Numedalsrally(third championshipround). 2) Anders Grøndal(Subaru Impreza WRC) +0.2 , 3) Morten Østberg(Subaru Impreza WRC)+1.17.4

Thomas Schie(Ford Focus WRC) got stuck in a snowbank at ss2 and lost several minutes. Tord Linnerud( Peugeot 206 WRC) stopped inn ss2, probably technical problems.

Anders Kjær(Peugeot 206 s1600) got technical problems just before start of ss1.

It was Mads third consecutive win in this season. Nice job!

I dont know the new owner, but after what Linnerud said in his press release it is a team from Germany that will serve the car in France.

After three rallies on snow/ice its the first round on gravel in the championship. The Rally Sørland is located as far south in Norway as it is possibile.

The big favourite is of course Mads Østberg in front of Thomas Schie and Anders Grøndal.

Also some great drivers from Sweden will start. Oscar Svedlund in N4 and JWRC-champion Patrik Sandell in Clio(n3).

After first leg today(ss3) Thomas Schie(Ford Focus WRC) leads Mads Østberg(Subaru Impreza WRC) by +5.6 sec. Anders Grøndal(Subaru Impreza WRC) in third place +26.9.

Mads Østberg won Rally Sørland. Thomas Schie was the fastest driver this time and won 6 of 9 stages, but an early puncture on ss6 was the reason that he lost his lead to Østberg.

There's something I don't really understand for this week-end !! :s

It seems a lot of drivers will take part to two different events between saturday and sunday... :eek:

There will be the Rally of Lillehammer on saturday( http://www.rally-lillehammer.no )and a rallysprint on sunday( http://www.rallygrindalsmoen.no )and I see most drivers on both entrylists... :confused:

Note that norwegian 206 Cup leader Christian Andresen won't run Rally Lillehammer, as he will take part to South Swedish Rally the same week-end... ;)

Also note that gorgeous Veronica Engan will codrive Kenneth Johnsrod in the 206 Cup... :D

Rally Lillehammer and Grindalsmoen are sprints. The distance from Lillehammer to Elverum is not so long so the teams can drive both of the sprints.

In Norway we have a cup called Kollevold Sprintrallycup 2007 and both Lillehammer and Grindalsmoen are two of the events.

Christian Andresen(206 XS)will go to sweden to South Swedish Rally. Also Anders Kjær(206 S1600) was on the entrylist for a week ago, but now he is withdrawn from the list, I dont know why.

On saturday we have the next round in the norwegian championship. Aurskog Høland Rally have 113 cars on the entrylist.

Mads Østberg, Thomas Schie and Anders Grøndal will probably fight for the podium places.

Mads Østberg(Impreza WRC) won Rally Trøndelag on saturday and he is already the Norwegian Champion 2007 because he have won every championshipevent.

Thomas Schie(Focus WRC) nearly beat him these weekend but he was after the final ss12. only 2,2 sec. behind Mads.
Anders Grøndal(Impreza WRC) was third.

Martin Stenshorne(Impreza) won the N4 and the JWRC-champion Patrik Sandell from Sweden was the fastest 2WD with a borrowed Renault Clio Ragnotti(N3)

Next championshipevent is Rally Larvik in september which is the only event on tarmac, all the others are on snow/ice and gravel. Andreas Mikkelsen will compete in Larvik.

There was a tarmac event last week-end, the Rally Grimstad... ;)

Anders Grondal won it(he had the biggest car an Impreza WRC), but the best surprise for me was Anders Kjaer in his 206 S1600 who took 2nd overall(after so much retirements in the season)... :bounce:

Also in the 206 Supercup note the gap between rally winner Einar Stadshaug and 2nd overall, Kenneth Johnsrod(codriven by Veronica Engan) !!! Only 0.1s !! :eek:

The Supercup was really disputed :up:

Especially that the favourites had problems(Christian Andresen lost huge time, and Kjetil Finstad retired)... :mark:

Rally Larvik is the only event in the norwegian championship on tarmac. Andres Mikkelsen will probably show his skills on tarmac after his experience in the irish tarmac championship. He is the favourite for the overall winner.

Some pictures of Mikkelsens car who went off on ss2, Østberg was 8 seconds faster on ss1. it was reported that Ola Fløene had broken his coloarbone but i saw him driving the team buss so i gues his okay. Awsome rally, video coming up tomorow :D

Mikkelsen had a spin on ss1 and lost some seconds. On ss2 they went off after 5km in a right hand corner. The rear of the car hit a tree. It was a hard accident. Andreas showed me the incarvideo from the accident.

The co-driver Ola Fløene was taken to hospital, but nothing was broken. I talked to him for a couple of hours ago and he was feeling dizzy and he said that he had hit his head. His helmet was broken and his chair was bent over against the left side.

I also noticed that after Larvik, thanks to his 3rd position in the Cup, Christian Andresen won the 2007 206 Supercup...

Does someone know what official Peugeot he will drive in 2008 ?? 206 S1600(like Anders Kjaer this year) or 207 S2000 ??? :confused:

It´s not sure that he will drive any "official Peugeot". The only thing which is clear is that his little brother, Sebastian, will drive Christians 206 next year in the cup.
