You'd be wrapped around a telegraph pole within a week driving that lot :p :

Aston Martin DB7.
Land Rover Bowler.
Used Land Rover 90 ute (my old one rebuilt preferably)

That's it. Can't see the point in having loads of cars, when I'd rather enjoy two for specific stuff like posh and off roading, and have the 90 for everyday use (I'd still work like I do now). No imagination, that's my problem :)

What about having at least one car that you won't look like an idiot in?

I'd take Hazell's list before I took yours. It shows a lack of imagination.

I posted my list in another thread. I'll stick with old cars which don't necessarily do 0-100 in 1.234544534522654 seconds because that's no the only point of a car and I don't want to be a mad tyte drifter either.

Merry Christmas Daniel.

The thread is about what someone would like, not how you mark their choice.

Choose as you will, but don't belittle others for their choice if it happens to disagree with yours.

Very true. My apologies :)

I just find it a little short sighted when people just make a list of competition cars and supercars. But I do apologies to Captain VXR for what I said :)

Merry Christmas to you too Bowler :p

Porsche 911 Turbo.

That is the only car I really would like to own.

Well - some dozens of millions of Euros, well then, a waste of money for something as spectacular as a Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 might get in sight. The problem is, though, that this car has no back seat for my dog, and uses so much gas, that a non-stop trip from my place to, say, Berlin, is hardly possible without stopping at a gas station inbetween (20 ltr/100 km, 100 ltr capacity). Also, practically no storage for luggage ... so only usable for little Sunday afternoon excursions.

So, I would rather like to rent that car for a week, and then turn back to something more reasonable. E.g. so something so beautiful as the Citroen(*) Xsara Picasso or so practical as a Skoda Octavia station wagon.

Yours,
O7

(*) this shold read Citroën, but my browser doesn't show the e-trema...

Vauxhall Cavalier GSI2000 (dont ask me why, but i have always wanted one)
Aston Martin DB9 Vanquish
Alfa Romeo 166
Alfa Romeo Spyder
Alfa Romeo 8c (the new one coming soon)
Alfa Romeo Brera. (bit of an Alfa theme developing here)
BMW M5 (the original 80's car)
Triumph Stag (in brown)
VW Corrado

I think i would be happy with those.

PS, the Cavalier would have to be a mint original version, not in anyway tainted by idiots who mod cars.

Exactly. Any car i have ever bought, or ever will buy will be original and as the manufacturer intended. Cant stand the stuff these young kids do to there Saxo's these days :)

I sound old, but i stand by it :D

I wanted a BTCC replica one when I was a kid. :o Now I'm older I can see how silly that would have been. :p :

Well, some of you guys would be broke or dead with some of those lists!!!!

I will narrow it down to 5 vehicles. FIrst off, a Dodge Ram 2500 with a Cummins Diesel to the honey do work around the palatial estate the wife would demand, not to mention pull a race car to the track.

Ok, now that said, a mid 60's v12 Ferrari. Not sure which one, maybe a 250 Superamerica, but hey, you buy what you can afford at auctions, even if you are rich.

For my love of old Mopars, a Plymouth Road Runner Superbird, with a Hemi please!!

For my love of a good solid every day car with class, a 06 Dodge Charger SRT-8,

For my desire to go racing, a race prepared Dodge Viper SRT 10.

There, if there is any money left over, ( and there better be ) the wife told me she wants a Volvo Convertable, or maybe one of those VW Eos jobs with the hard top roof...

Good point - I like tuned cars with mods such as engine tuning, suspension etc but chavved up Saxos etc really take the p1$$ with huge exhaust tips but no tuned engine to go with - just a 1.0 litre engine, thumping music going through ice systems and Lexus style lights
Then they do circly skids in them and call it 'drifting' when it so blatantly isn't.
I hate the misuse of the word drift arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I agree with the both of you. I'm not into ridiculous rice enhancements. I just want it to be functional. I want to up the power on my Evo, but it's almost impossible to find an off the shelf exhaust system these days for a Japanese performance car that doesn't have a 4"+ tip. Personally I think they look ridiculous. 3" is way big enough. Guess I'll have to go custom to get it.

Of course the worst part is when their stereos are so loud your mirrors rattle when they come beside you at a traffic light. The worst part? Never once have they played a tune I would like to hear turned up!!!
