I saw this thread was gone too and I dont truly remember what times the members were done but decided to put this thread up again because I think GT4 deserves even as an older game some kind of thread for times.. Also I remember someone asked about the GT4 competition but as it didnt camed maybe sometimes in this thread GT4 players could challenge out other forumers for duel or just look up the times.. The last thread was for Nordschleife and today I done some times there in fact I wanted to see how close I can get others..

Here are my Nordschleife GT4 times! (all racing car times are done at arcade with normal spec car and with racing-mediums) The slow run time with Fiat500R if someone wants to try to beat it with similar normal Fiat 500R was done with sport-softs) .All times are done without hitting to a wall. Also them has been done at 1 single lap so them isnt perfect and I know someone can beat them for sure or has already beaten. Still any talk of GT4 and for the times or even challenges are more than welcome.

C.Gr: Toyota Minolta 88 C-V 5.24.613
prototype: Audi R8 5.32.596
LM-GTP: Toyota GT-One TS020´99: 5.41.481
B.gr rally: Lancia Delta S4 6.40.839
WRC: Hyundai Accent WRC 7.10.304
fun slow run: Fiat 500R 14.08.929 (Subaru 360 has been slowest car I have got around the ring.. it was something like almost 30 seconds even behind the Fiat, has tried to go around ring at Benz 2hp carriage model but stucked to one uphill)

I could never do an under 5 minute time!

did a 5.45 in the old jag le mans car (purple, and yellow), last night that was with softs on the front and mediums on the rear, that thing is bloody quick 900+ bhp, that was only the 2nd lap around the ring in that car, with qualy tyres it could go much quicker, that car likes going sideways which is fun!

I dont truly know what my time would be at GT4 Formula. In GT3 I had the Formula but in this I have been too lazy to do 24 hour races. OK with B spec mode its 8 hours a race in minimum but just havent wanted to run it. I have the Sauber C9 too and its my fav car to drive. I won it when beaten the Formula championship with the C.gr Toyota-Minolta. in some races you dont have a hope to win but some were quite easy :) .

I will try some other tracks lately and with normal cars. In the ring I see I do quite well with the GT cars.

Anyway if I remember right heres one GT time more: no cutting in last corners, done in arcade with racing mediums using the controller: 3.11.403 with Audi R8 at Circuit de la sarthe 1. With the lap like that you would have taken quickest lap in Le Mans circuit by 18 seconds :)

Was that with standard BHP? If so then proves the game isn't very accurate :p :

yup,I done it in arcade mode with the Audi R8. Yeah that truly shows what you are talking about 306 Cosworth but still its quite nice to drive around Le Mans. The game is still good what is the main point but CPU drivers are too slow. The cpu prototype drivers still do normal laps in Le Mans between 3.29-3.33 .

Anyway I remember you had the game too 306. Post up some times and I try to beat them :D

Thats bloody quick :s hock:

It was on arcade, so I had power up 20%, weight down 10%, Racing Super softs without tyre wear.

The thing is intensely fast and it's a bitch to keep on the track, considering all the bumps and elevation changes over 22 kms.

And yes, I did have a lot of time on my hands. ;)

EDIT: The time was 4:58.810

As you have time try what time you are able to do with racing mediums and with no power ups or lowered weight in arcade. You are a good driver for sure so its would be intresting to see how much time different tyres example makes + seconds for the time. Also then we could see how much a GT car loses in the ring for Formula Gran Turismo.

Yeah I know what you mean with low weight problem in the ring as you have those bouncing problems with Audi R8 already.Example on quite an end of the track where you go that high speed downhill where are a few easy corners on the downhill the car can lose the grip in any moment and your a passenger then :) .

what comes to other circuits I will post up some arcade rally racing-medium tyre times for the rally circuits..

Can't remember exactly but I think I'd done a 5:24 around the Nordschleife in a Minolta 88-c. Mind you that was in GT mode with NOS and a stage 4 turbo. The most difficult part is keeping the thing on the road, I think I had it facing the wrong way once or twice in that lap. It also took a lot of practice, working the time down from about 6:20 to begin with and then hitting personal targets from there on (e.g sub 6 minute, under 5:45 and so on) I reckon that given a lot of time I could get down to about a 5:15 but really can't be bothered :D

Hi!

I've found this amazing site with one of the greatest Databases on GT4 tracktimes. You only have to know a little bit the German language, then you will be satisfied to compare your stage times with thousands of other people.
I hope I could help you.

I can never get under 6 minutes on the Nordschleife

My best was a 6m 10 in a Formula Gran Turismo

I think my best lap ever was doing a 0:59.5 at Tsukuba (dry) in a standard BMW M5 with Sport Medium tyres. That was on my 20th-odd go, really hard for me.

Just got GT4. Good game, graphics. I've just gotta get some credits up to get the good cars and tracks! How do you get the Le Mans track?

I don't think there's any one event that unlocks it - I just kept plugging away at most events and eventually it unlocked.

Bit of a pain in the arse though!

I just got a copy of a memory card with everything unlocked, as my saved game which I had taken months to get to 93% corrupted a year ago! But now it seems my game disc is scratched and not working. Whatever it is, it ain't loading anyway. I was all set to have a blast at Le Mans in an Aston DB9 as well. :s

Thats a shame Iain.If I am right,GT4 isnt too expensive these days so if you liked for the game and if you isnt going to sell the PS2 out of the way of PS3 or some other next.gen console.

Also Neil I try those times when I have more time.. I have been quite busy so havent had time to play and post more times as I promised in the end of the 06.

I tried the Nordschleife while a back with GP Legends, i failed to get a competitive time with the Ferrari because i kept dying halfway to the track. :)
