A1GP '07/08 Schedule?
Anyone know when its going to be announced? It getting down to only two months away, doesn't leave much time for tracks to promote/sell tickets.

Actually, us fans had hoped the schedule would have been out by now. Last year it was announced July 5th, so why we have to wait for 2 extra weeks is unknown.
Zandvoort, Sepang, Taupo, Eastern Creek and Brands Hatch are pretty sure.
Brno was aswell untill about late april, when it suddenly disappeared from the Brno website. It may be replaced by an Italian round.
Beijing will be dropped too, but that doesn't necessarily mean we will only have one Chinese race.
As the rumours go, there isn't a race planned in the US or Canada though, but who knows, they may still surprise us.Orange, the best color there is.
To finish first, you first have to finish.

Very pleased to see season 3 is definetly a go.
I was abit disappointed that they could'nt seem to get any other countries with tracks onboard, as there are alot of big gaps inbetween races which messes up the flow somewhat.
Anyhow ill be going to Brandshatch again, as A1 racing is a great spectacle and fan friendly.

Looks like they've improved on the conflicts with other events, although there are a few at the begining & end. No conflicts with GP2 the most likely crossover for drivers, a little with F1 but if they they can get any F1 test deal they're gone.

It still appears Asia, TBC

I can't remember exactly, only heard chairman of Sentul has ever commented on possibility some fine chargeable to sentul relating to that postponement without elaborating more. If that was the case it's not totally the fault of series and responsible for the whole amount, it happened because of being asked, didn't it?

US or Canada? Ummm no and here is why. There are 6 MILLION of them actually. To put on a race with a 6 million dollar sanctioning fee, you are guarnteed to lose money in the US or Canada when you consider most of the drivers are absolutely nobodies to all of the fans over here save the guy in the US car or Team Canada car, and I know for a fact that James Hincliffe or Sean McIntosh are talented guys but are in no danger of being swamped by their fellow Canadians for autographs. Most people here have no idea who they are or what a1 is. On a contient where OW racing is dying, I don't forsee the A1 series ever returning as long as there is a 6 million dollar sanctioning fee. You can bring the IRL or Champ Car in for that, and people here at least have some idea what they are getting.
Shame really, because I love watching the A1 boys go at it....."Water for my horses, beer for my men and mud for my turtle".

At least the never-run Brazilian round wasn't included in the calendar this time. It's bad for a series to keep on canceling one of its rounds.

wow, that is a lot. is that good value for money for a promoter? perhaps that is why there are only 10 confirmed events? that 6 million could probably buy you in a bigger show then A1GP
